1.) Take this time to check in with everyone in your life group. How is their walk with the Lord currently going?

2.) Recall when some employer or talent scout first discovered you had a special ability. How did they affirm that in you? How did you respond?
Digging Deeper: Read 1 Samuel 10:9-27
3.) What meaning did events at Gibeah have for Saul? For those who knew him? Why such a surprise?
4.) In publicly anointing Saul, how does Samuel implicitly judge Israel and reward their protest?
5.) Why the elimination process in verses 20-21, when Samuel already knew Saul was God’s elect?
6.) How do the Israelites respond to their new king? Why this mixed reaction? Would your response be more like the “valiant men” of the “troublemakers”?
