Life Group Questions

Oct 19, 2025    Pastor Doug McHenry

Checking In:

1.)   Take this time to check in with everyone in your life group. How is their walk with the Lord currently going?

Ice Breaker for the study: (Leaders can choose one of the 3 questions to open up your group’s time.)

2.)   – Who is your favorite mystery writer?

-         What is a favorite mystery movie?

-         How do you picture God?

Digging Deeper: Read Ephesians 3:1-21

3.)   Like Paul preached to the Gentiles, who reached out to you and encouraged you with the Gospel?

4.)   What mystery that was made known to Paul is revealed in this passage?

5.)   What was Paul’s view of the mission God had given to him (v.7-10)?

6.)   Why would Paul consider himself “less than the least of all God’s people” (v.8)?

7.)   What important mission does the church have in God’s plan?

8.)   In his prayer in verses 14-21, what is Paul asking God to do?

Application:

9.)   What wonderful benefit of being in Christ is mentioned in verse 12? On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), with how much “freedom and confidence” do you approach God?

10.)When have you felt overwhelmed by the love of God?

11.)If a person knew only rejection and pain in their relationships, how can this person come to understand the love of God in a personal way?

Following the Discussion:

Take time to ask if there are any prayer requests within your group and pray for one another. Also ask if there is anyone in their life that you could be praying for that they may come to Christ.
