Covenant Kidz purpose is to disciple children to Know Christ, to Grow in Christ, and to Go and Share Christ.

A Safe Place for Children to Explore Their Faith
Our children’s ministry encompasses newborns through sixth grades. The children are cared for and taught in a Christ-centered environment where they are valued, loved, and encouraged.
If your child requires any kind of special assistance during their visit to First Covenant please view our Special Needs Page to see our accommodations.

Sunday Mornings

Nursery is available in the south hallway during our 2nd and 3rd services.
Nursing mothers may use the “Mother’s Room” which is located in the South hallway. The changing tables are in the restrooms in the nursery hallway.

Sunday School
Our Covenant Kidz children’s ministry cares for newborns through sixth graders creating a Christ-centered environment where they are valued, loved, and encouraged. All classes are staffed with loving, committed leaders who teach a Bible-based lesson using active and creative teaching methods. ALL classes based on child’s age or grade as of September 1, 2020. Children ages 0 - 6th grade will need to stop in the foyer to register the first week. After the first week, you may check your children in at any of the available kiosks.

Sept. - April

Breakout is for all children 3rd-6th grade and is held on Sunday mornings at 10:40 from September through April. Breakout is a 4-year discipleship program designed to move children toward spiritual maturity with a strong emphasis on relationship building. The growth areas covered in four years are: Knowing Christ, Growing in Christ, Serving Christ, and Sharing Christ. This is a fun and relational discipleship program. A mission trip caps off this 4-year program! Contact Lisa for more information.

where to find us

Locate the elementary wing

From the front main entrance go straight ahead with a slight jog to the right to the down stairway. At the bottom of the stairway the classrooms are to the left and to the right. Follow the hallways and locate the names of the rooms on the wall next to each doorway.

We value your children’s safety at First Covenant. We use an electronic check-in system to ensure we have your contact information and only approved adults may pick up children by showing a receipt that is unique to your family. All volunteers at FCC fill out a written application and a federal background check. A minimum of two volunteers are staffed in each classroom. The FCC Safety Team provides yearly training in emergency procedures to volunteers throughout the church, and saftey plans are posted in each room.

AIM Initiative

AIM is an emphasis on bringing families together in fun experiences or equipping parents to lead their families in their spiritual growth.
A - We’re AIMING for the future! We want to equip families to grow spiritually together while children are still at an impressionable age.
I - Invest time in raising children who love God. Our lives are pulled in many directions but investing time in spiritual things takes a commitment and a plan. The blessings are immeasurable.
M - Make disciples by leading your own children in their faith walks to be world changers for Christ.
Aim events are held at various times throughout the year. If you would like to learn information about AIM or to join our mailing list, please contact Lisa.
