Scripture Memory System (SMS) is Tuesdays, 4pm, September-March, in Kidz Cove and is for all children ages 2 years through the 6th grade.
It is a relaxing time for parents & children to work on Scripture memory. We split our group into younger & older children. The younger children learn their verses using puppet shows, stories, & skits. The older children will learn theirs more intently as well as do drills to learn how to navigate through a Bible comfortably. Next, all the children are split into small groups to recite their verse individually to a listening mom/dad. Finally, the best part, each child gets a cookie for reciting their verse.
SMS is an excellent tool to help parents hide God’s Word into their children’s hearts (and their own) & have fun doing it.
SMS meets every Tuesday from now until March 10, 2010. We meet from 4:00 to 4:45 pm at Kidz Cove at First Covenant Church. For more information email Patti or Velda. |
