Board of Deacons

The Deacons shall assist the pastoral staff in directing the spiritual work of the church through the oversight of church membership, including a yearly review and update of membership rolls, developing and sustaining a spirit of fellowship, acquiring and serving as greeters, attending to the needs of newcomers, providing for hospitality, supporting the body of believers through congregational care and facilitating the prayer support network. The Deacons shall assist the Board of Worship in serving Holy Communion and shall direct the benevolence program for those in need.
